A longtime teaching assistant with Wilson County Schools passed away last week after an ATV accident in Henry County.
Holly Sciarpelletti, 55, and her grandson were involved in a single-vehicle accident just two days after Christmas. The grandson was transported to a Nashville area hospital and still recovering from surgeries. Authorities said Sciarpelletti died due to injuries sustained in the accident.
Sciarpelletti was a Special Education one-on-one teaching assistant, and worked more recently at Gladeville Middle and Wilson Central High School. Her daughter, Katie Murrell, is a teacher at Gladeville Elementary.
