Sam Houston’s girls and Byars Dowdy’s boys were the winners of the 15th annual Blue League tournament Feb. 1 at Lebanon High’s Campbell Brandon Gym/Hester Gibbs Court.
Jones Brummett took both runner-up trophies as the Lady Hawks fall 11-10 to Sam Houston and the boys 18-8 to Byars Dowdy.
Pilar Glenn scored six points, Skyy Spencer and Camryon Cooper two each and Ellie Forrest a free throw for Sam Houston.
Charlie White scored six and Myla Thompson four for Jones Brummett.
Pilar Glenn notched nine points, Skyy Spencer six, Camryon Cooper four and Ellie Forrest and Ralyn Rogers two each for Sam Houston.
Rilynn Landrum, Drew Swain and Ruby Keene each tossed in two for Castle Heights.
Ava Taylor scored seven points, Zy’Tiya Maynard five and Charlie White four for Jones Brummett.
Jazmyn Rooks and Jayden Rooks each racked up four points for Carroll-Oakland while Ansleigh Bell and Layla Ritsch tossed in two apiece and Adrina Blaylock a free throw.
Rilynn Landrum led Castle Heights with eight points while Alivia Thomas finished with four and Ruby Keene and Drew Swain each scored two.
Alivia Robertson racked up 10 points, Ellison Miller two and Raelyn Steele a free throw for Coles Ferry,
Ava Taylor scored seven points, Charlie White and Ellen Lankford four each and Madison Spain, Kennedi Watkins, Meyah House and Myla Thompson two apiece for Jones Brummett.
Sunny Gillespie scored both Byars Dowdy points.
Jude Rowland, John Gordon and Camden McFarland each finished with four points and Corey Osborne, Layton McCathern and Ace McCarver two apiece for Byars Dowdy.
Ben Tran tossed in four points and Zion Newsome and Cam Seay two each for Jones Brummett.
Arian Wiggins and Camden McFarland each finished with 11 points for Byars Dowdy while Eli Cole threw in three and John Gordon, Corey Osborne and Atlas Williams two apiece.
Peyton Wright racked up 10 points for Carroll-Oakland while Kannon Painter put in four and Wyatt Myers and Jase Ward two each.
Zion Newsome knocked down 12 points for Jones Brummett while Derrick Beasley scored six and Ben Tran four.
Zaylin Tucker finished with five points; Knox Gish, Malaki Hancock and Jimmy Chaffin four each and Chad Reynolds two for Sam Houston.
