A juvenile was arrested after Lebanon Police tracked down a stolen Kia Soul Monday.
A resident reported their black Kia Soul was stolen early Monday morning, July 7, and the license plate information was entered into LPD’s database in case one of the city’s license plate readers detected it.
Several hours later, that’s just what happened. The readers detected the plate — and the Kia it was attached to — entering Interstate 40.
After locating the vehicle, officers conducted a traffic stop near the 229 mile marker, on the edge of the city between the State Route 109 exit and the Golden Bear Gateway exit in Mt. Juliet.
Police discovered the driver was a juvenile, who was taken into custody without incident and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of burglary tools and driving without a license.
