The SHEDS 365 family-owned company was founded in 2019 in Paris, Tennessee. Today, the company continues to grow and expand their American-made, handcrafted and durable storage solutions across the Southeast.
In January, a SHEDS 365 location opened in Hartsville at 235 W. McMurry Blvd., which is managed by Jack Binkerd, Area Sales Manager. Savannah Hewgley serves as a Shed Specialist and assists customers in selecting the perfect building for their needs.
Q: Tell the readers more about SHEDS 365.
Jack: SHEDS 365 is more than just a place that sells storage solutions. With several locations throughout the Southeast, we are a sales and manufacturing organization that focuses on the best structure and quality for our customers. The company operates their own logistics company to set up the sheds and offers payment plan options for customers who might want to rent to own. The company specializes in storage buildings, sheds, outdoor storage and buildings, barns, metal buildings, loft barns, custom sheds and home storage. We really do offer 365 ways to store your stuff.
Savannah: I tell customers that SHEDS 365 offers the best storage solution products on the market. We truly blow the others out of the water. When customers see our products and all the options available to them, they are impressed.
Q: What separates SHEDS 365 products from those that might be purchased at the big box stores?
Jack: Our products are made in America and are built to last, which is a good investment for our customers. Our storage solutions are manufactured with superior materials made for the outdoor storage shed industry such as LP SmartSide Trim and Siding and LP Prostruct Flooring.
LP SmartSide is treated and engineered wood that resists impact, is waterproof and resistant to mildew, fungal decay and insects. This isn’t a standard OSB type board. It is backed by a five-year warranty as well. The LP flooring has tongue and groove stability and is backed by a backed by a 1/10-year warranty.
The roofs on our buildings are constructed with 7/16†OSB, covered with roofing felt and metal roofing is installed vertically over all that. We have a full sheet of information on the construction of our buildings that shows their superior construction and quality on features down to the hardware we use.
Savannah: We also offer a lot of services and selections the big box stores don’t. If you don’t find what you want in our lot, I can check all our other locations to see if we have what the customer is looking for and have it delivered here. We can also custom-build to meet all the customers’ wants and needs as well. A customer can upgrade their shed choice with several available options such as a work bench, shelving, flower boxes, a roll-up door or a ramp and more.
Our service is personalized to help the customers find what they are looking for right down to their budget.
We offer free property/site placement assessments to help the customer have the best location to set up their new storage solution. We provide guidelines to the customer for leveling the ground for the building along with a blocking chart if the customers use cap blocks to level the building.
And with those warranties, if there is ever an issue with a shed, I am right here in the office to assist the customer. Here you are part of our SHEDS 365 family and not a number on a receipt where no one knows anything about what you purchased. Delivery and set up are included in our pricing but delivery is free within 50 miles of our business location.
Q: If a customer orders a custom-built shed, what is the turnaround time on that?
Jack: A customer can expect the building to be completed in as little as three to four weeks and then delivery time is scheduled.
Q: What sizes of buildings do SHEDS 365 construct?
Jack: Our smallest is an 8x8 and we can build up to 14x40. Buildings larger than 14x40 require different permits and have more requirements to legally haul on the roadways.
Q: Your sales flyers mention no credit check and everyone is approved. How does this work for your customers?
Savannah: We offer cash sales and rent-to-own options for our customers. We offer very competitive pricing and with the rent-to-own options, all are approved. The rent-to-own option is a convenient option for people who need storage on their property, it saves them time and money instead of using a storage facility located somewhere else, plus, when the rent-to-own contract is paid in full, the customer owns the building. The down payment is the first month’s rent.
Q: Do you offer any other incentives for purchasing?
Savannah: We do honor our military and veterans with $50 off any building purchase.
Q: As employees of SHEDS 365, what is your experience in the industry and your responsibilities within the company?
Jack: I came to the company with experience in construction and roofing sales from Alabama. I was recruited by the General Manager, Bob Boyd. I’ve learned so much about this industry under the company’s leadership and training. Not all sheds are created equal and we are better by far than the average. As manager, I strive to prepare and train my staff, giving them the tools and information they need to be successful in their positions. I work at solving issues that may arise and work with a lot of teams throughout the company. Savannah is the face of our location and she ran with the opportunity that was presented to her when we opened this location.
Savannah: SHEDS 365 is like a big family. We communicate well; we support and encourage each other. My goal is to please our customers and offer them the best experience possible while selecting and purchasing a unit for their storage needs. To me, helping the customer out is more important than just making a sale. I did not have sales experience but with training and learning about the industry, I am in the number one sales spot for the month of June. Our location is the smallest in the region, but our location has done very well in April and May, even selling off other lots.
