The Lafayette city council has approved lowering the speed limit at Brattontown Circle and Ellington Drive from 35 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour. The action came at last week’s council meeting, where members also approved adding speed limit signs on Nature Trail Way starting at 25 miles per hour and going down to 15 miles per hour.
In other action, the second and final reading of an ordinance amending the municipal code as it relates to requirements and responsibilities of those installing, adding or extending water lines was approved, as was a proposal to allow Mid Tenn Engineering to extend the water line off Days Road for the developers of Oxford Commons. Oxford Commons is the area being developed that is visible from Hwy. 52 West just across from Davis Electronics.
