Mark Scott, 59 of the Galen community of Macon County, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Brawner officiating. Interment followed in the Scott Cemetery.
Jackie Yokley, Ricky Roark, Cory Scott, Mike Scott, Kyle Petty and Austin Browning served as pallbearers.
Mark Scott was born July 20, 1965, in Macon County, Tennessee, born to Shirley Holland Scott and the late George Scott.
Mark passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the age of 59 years, 10 months, and twenty-five days.
He was a loving husband to Lynn Barnes, with whom he shared 19 cherished years. He built a successful career as a self-employed contractor and took great pride in his work. Mark was a faithful member of Rocky Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where he found strength and fellowship. An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending his time hunting, fishing and trap shooting. Mark will be remembered for his strong spirit, kind heart and the joy he brought to those around him.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Scott, of the Galen community; daughters, Jocosa Petty and husband, Kyle and Kiona Browning and husband, Austin, all of Lafayette; step-sons, Brandon Eden and wife Kristi, Caleb Eden, all of Hartsville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jacoby Scott Petty, Kealan Bryce Petty, Silas Mark Browning, Caroline and Annemarie Eden and Eli Eden; mother, Shirley Holland Scott, of the White Oak community; brother, Mike Scott and wife, Kim; and sister, Louise Dallas and husband, Jamie, all of Lafayette.
