Garrett Lee Manion, 82, of the Akersville community in Macon County, Tennessee, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 5, 2025, at his residence.
Graveside services and interment were conducted Tuesday morning, April 8, 2025, from the Akersville Cemetery with Reverend Billy Freeman officiating.
John Manion, Ben Manion, Tyler Tucker, Dillon Dyer, Dustin Bergdorff and Jewel Hamer served as pallbearers.
Garrett Lee Manion, born June 1, 1942, in Monroe County, Kentucky.
He was born to the late Leon and Lorene (Bohanan) Manion and departed this life April 5, 2025, at the age of 82 years, 10 months and four days.
Garrett Lee Manion married the love of his life Joyce Faye Roberts May 21, 1960. She preceded him in death Jan. 6, 2021. They shared over 60 years together.
In addition to his wife and parents; he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis, Loyd and Glenn Manion.
Garrett was a farmer most of his life and he was a member of Akersville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons, David Manion and wife, Lisa, of the Akersville Community, Henry Manion and wife, Nancy, of the Haysville Community; grandchildren, Emily Dyer and husband, Dillon, Leann Bergdorff and husband, Dustin, Mary Tucker, and husband, Tyler, John Manion and wife, Ciara, Ben Manion; great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Drake, and Elsie Dyer, Dax Bergdorff, Mayci, Trace and Mylee Tucker and Stella and Nora Manion; sisters-in-law, Enna Mae Newbolt and Karen Manion; devoted companion, Sandy Willoughby; and devoted caregiver, Vicki Gregory.
