Students from Wilson County were honored with Dean’s List placements and other similar honors across several universities across the state and country. Others received scholarships.
Austin Peay State University student Zehra Jennings, of Mt. Juliet, was offered a scholarship for the Fall 2025 semester.
Southern New Hampshire University announced Jessica Carter-Gillam and Lily Smith, of Lebanon, along with Coral Cook and Zayloni Peleska Bell, of Mt. Juliet, were named to the Spring 2025 Dean’s List for having a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.7.
SNHU also said the following students from Wilson County were named to the President’s List for earning a minimum GPA above 3.7:
Melissa Miller, Iesha Mull, Ronan Briscoe, Victoria Bennett, Tiffany Bogle, Dina Tabit, Dominique English and Hannah Quinn, all from Lebanon.
Brooklyn Fox, April Horst, Gabriel Ziegler, Alex Sung, Audrey Tipton, Joshua Lo, Lindsay Roberson, Catherine Alvizo and Shalynn Scott, all from Mt. Juliet.
Belmont University released the Dean’s List for the spring 2025 semester. The following students are from Wilson County:

Dean’s List eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
Belhaven University named Jeanmari Esterhuizen, of Mt. Juliet, to the Spring 2025 President’s List, with an eligibility requirement of a minimum 4.0 GPA.
Jacob Patton, of Mt. Juliet, was named to the Spring 2025 Dean’s List at Berry College. The Dean’s List honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.
Two Wilson County students at Cedarville University, Caleb Knudson, of Lebanon, and Anna Mae Carman, of Mt. Juliet, were named to the Dean’s Honor List for the Spring 2025 semester.
This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester.
Another student, Ian Spurgeon, of Lebanon, was named to the Dean’s List at Cedarville University for Spring 2025. This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.50 GPA or higher for the semester.
Western Carolina University named Layla Delgado and Mia Didion, both from Mt. Juliet, to the Chancellor’s List for Spring 2025. To qualify for this honor, students must achieve a GPA of 3.8 or higher. Students named to the Chancellor’s list are also named to the Dean’s List.
Graceland University named Mt. Juliet student Anna Long to the President’s List by maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester.
Samford University recognized seven students from Wilson County by naming them to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester.
Patrick Lippincott, Jamison Bush and Elizabeth Buller, of Lebanon. Aubrey Blankenship, Jordan Rehim, Benjamin Ellis and Elise Brown, of Mt. Juliet made the list.
To qualify, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0. The Dean’s List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.
University of Tennessee Martin recognized multiple students from Wilson County to the Spring 2025 Chancellor’s Honor Roll.

UT Martin also said Makenna Smith, Honors, and Megan R. Cartee, High Honors, are Chancellor’s Honor Roll honorees with ties to Wilson County.
To be eligible for the Chancellor’s Honor Roll recognition at UT Martin, a student must achieve a 3.2 out of 4.0 GPA. Students can make the Chancellor’s Honor Roll with honors (3.2 through 3.49), high honors (3.5 through 3.79) or highest honors (3.8 through 4.0).
