Bonny Jo Singleton, 49, passed away at Tristar Summit Medical Center Friday, July 25, 2025, after suffering a medical event the previous evening at her home in Nashville, Tennessee.
Bonny was born in Miami, Floridaorida, to Robert “Bobby†Jo Singleton and Barbara Jean Singleton.
Her father was the lead mechanic for Southern Airway at MIA and her mother; Barbara was a homemaker at the time. After her parents’ divorce, Barbara opened Family Feed in Hialeah, Florida, where Bonny spent many of her young years working and developing a love for animals.
Bonny spent her high school years in Orlando, Florida, with her horse, Little Jo and her brother, Fred and his wife, Linda. After high school, Bonny moved to Tennessee to be with her best friend from childhood, Regan Bobbi Hall.
Bonny was a very active and dedicated attendee of Baird’s Mill Church of Christ. She worked 25 years at various companies as an accounts payable clerk, with her last 17 years at SMS Holdings in Nashville. She was an entrepreneur of various home-based businesses.
Bonny was very creative, and she loved to craft, sew, can, tend to the needs of all her animals, make soap, design and make jewelry and grow amazing vegetables from seeds in her garden.
No details were ever left out in her award-winning costumes that she created yearly, which lead to the annual Halloween costume contest being named after her. She’d give her time and energy to help others and she enjoyed reading fantasy and apocalyptic books, both genres that fueled her creative talents.
Bonny always had a “listening ear†for everyone, without judgement.
Bonny is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Kelly Lynne Singleton.
She is survived by her longtime boyfriend and fiancé, Damien Boyd; brothers, Dan Albury, of Oak Hill, West Virginia, and Fred Albury, of Citra, Florida.; sister, Deanna “Dee†Albury, (niece and nephew, Aaron and Jasmine Albury), of Oak Hill West Virginia; uncle, Donald Dulom; cousins, Donna (Kevin) Biederman and Ciera; and numerous relatives whose lives she touched in the Boyd, Dulom and Albury families, as well as those colleagues she worked with over the years.
Bonny will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives were brightened by her presence. Though her time with us was far too short, Bonny’s kindness, laughter and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her final wish was to help others through research donation for science.
Bonny’s life will be celebrated at Partlow Funeral Chapel in Lebanon. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 29th, 2025, from 4-6 p.m. Celebration of life services will follow at 6 p.m. in the Partlow Chapel. All family, friends and those whose lives Bonny touched, are welcome to join in remembering and celebrating her life.
Final Thought: “Say her name. Remind the world that it’s okay to Love what was lost and Love what is. Death shouldn’t erase her entire life — or the life you made with her,†Honor what was and live for what is.
Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements, 615-444-7007, .
