Ascension Saint Thomas is proud to welcome Dr. Jon Austin Ash as a full-time cardiologist at Ascension Saint Thomas Heart Lebanon. A native of Lebanon, Dr. Ash returns to serve the community he has long called home.
Dr. Ash recently completed the rigorous Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program at Ascension Saint Thomas, where he received specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of complex heart conditions. His appointment reflects the health system’s commitment to fostering local talent and advancing cardiovascular care across Middle Tennessee.

Before his fellowship, Dr. Ash completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from Lipscomb University in Nashville.
Dr. Ash is board certified in internal medicine and brings experience in both inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care. His clinical interests include general cardiology, preventive care, and the early detection of heart disease.
Well known and highly regarded in the Lebanon community, Dr. Ash’s return marks a significant investment in local access to specialized cardiovascular services.
