The Macon County Retired Teachers are planning trip Tuesday, Sept. 2, to the Cumberland County Playhouse in Crossville to see “9 to 5.â€
Cost is $128 per person, and lunch is included at a Crossville restaurant. Pickups will be in Westmoreland, Lafayette, Hartsville and Carthage. You do not have to be a retired teacher to participate as everyone is welcome. The Macon County Senior Center has several trips available in 2025 and 2026. Included in 2025 is a one-day mystery trip on Aug. 12; an 11-day trip to Yellowstone National Park & The Grand Tetons Aug. 15-25; a three-day tour going to Pigeon Forge, TN on Nov. 11-13; and in 2026, there is a six-day tour, Manatees & Mermaids, to Crystal River, Florida Feb. 23-28. You do not have to be a member of the Senior Citizens Center to travel. This is a good opportunity to travel on great trips departing from the local area and you’re invited to go on any or all these tours.
