More changes are coming to the Portland Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the recently named President and CEO, Kristen Hope, who took over for Emily Groves, the Chamber is excited to share some great news by welcoming Anna Warren, who will be joining the team as the programs and events coordinator, starting Monday, June 30.
Hope said, “Anna brings with her a wealth of experience in planning and executing events that bring people together. She previously served as the recreation planner for the City of Springfield and as an event experience manager at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center—two roles that have prepared her well for leading impactful, engaging, and community-centered events here in Portland.â€
Warren, in addition to her work for the Springfield Parks and Recreation and the Opryland Hotel, has worked for the corporate offices of Fruit of the Loom. She has been married for a little less than a year and is about to celebrate her one-year anniversary and lives in Orlinda with her husband and their almost nine-year-old Australian Shepherd. She has been a volunteer soccer coach for three different teams while living in Bowling Green, Ky.
As for her plans for her new role at the Chamber, “I came to the Portland Chamber because I was hoping to do events for a small town that felt like home," Warren said. "Being from Adairville, Ky., I was thrilled to be able to end up in a town with a strawberry festival since I grew up attending and working at one!â€
As programs and events coordinator, Warren will play a vital role in helping manage all of the small and large events put on by the chamber. She adds, “In the future, I am excited to see the number of members in the chamber grow and the attendance at events grow!â€
The chamber also welcomes her with “We’re so excited to have Anna on board and are confident that she will help bring our chamber’s programs and events to new heights. The citizens of Portland will soon have the chance to meet Anna at upcoming chamber functions, and we know you’ll enjoy working with her as much as we will. Please help us give her a warm welcome to the Portland Chamber of Commerce family!â€
