Two Red Boiling Springs High School students placed in the top two of the RBS Tri-County Electric Essay Contest.
Emma Hackney won first place and $100, while Parker Clark won second and $50. Additionally, Hackney was named Overall Winner of the contest and earned a trip to Washington D.C.
“We are so proud of Emma and Parker for their hard work, dedication and achievement,†a RBS High School spokesperson said.
“They have represented Red Boiling Springs High School with excellence!â€
Each year, Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation partners with organizations to sponsor the Electric Cooperative Writing Contest. High school juniors are asked to submit a short story no longer than 900 words of a specific title.
