Lady Hawks’ road show plays well in home, district opener

Green Hill forward KT Tolbert watches her shot fall for two of her 12 first-period points.

MT. JULIET — Green Hill’s road show which produced a 7-0 record for the Lady Hawks played just as well on the Hill as they won their home (and District 7-4A) opener Tuesday night over Wilson Central 70-46.

“It was a welcome sight to finally get home on our home floor,†second-year Green Hill coach Cody King said. “The girls responded really well. We joked it’s almost like a road game because we haven’t been here in a while. They responded by shooting lights out. That is reassuring and gives us some confidence.â€
