Wilson County Deputies conducted a search with assistance from the Mt. Juliet Police Department for a man accused of domestic assault Tuesday night.
At approximately 8:14 p.m. on Dec. 2, a Mt. Juliet Alert was sent out advising the public of a search for a wanted man with a history of violent crimes, last seen inside city limits on Lebanon Road near Golden Bear Gateway.
According to law enforcement, Daniel Duke, 30, of Mt. Juliet, fled the scene of a domestic incident just before deputies arrived. A recent surveillance photo was provided for reference. He was reportedly wearing a black jacket, black sweatshirt, gray undershirt, blue jeans and gray shoes at the time.
“The incident involved a domestic [dispute involving] his wife and child, to which there were visible marks,†WCSO Public Information Officer Scott Moore said. “Upon arrival, he had already fled the scene on foot and MJPD assisted us with trying to locate him. We also activated our drone operations as well.â€
Moore said Duke was located in a wooded area near a residence on Terrace Hill Road around 10:16 p.m. He was charged with probation violation and two counts of domestic assault and booked into the Wilson County Jail. He’s being held on a $40,000 bond.
Duke is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 16.
