Wilson Rides Inc. is proud to announce its participation in #GivingTuesday, a 24-hour global giving movement taking place on Tuesday, Dec. 2. This inspiring day encourages individuals, organizations and businesses around the world to come together to give back and strengthen their communities.
This year, Wilson Rides will be raising funds to support multiple essential services for older adults in Wilson County. Funds raised will support Wilson Rides’ core operations, the Holiday Happiness Delivered Program, and the Food Box Delivery Program in partnership with One Generation Away.
The Holiday Happiness Delivered Program serves older adults in Wilson County during both Christmas and Easter by providing Christmas stockings, Christmas gift bags, and Easter bags to residents in assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation centers, as well as to Wilson Rides clients — ensuring joy, dignity and connection for hundreds of older adults each holiday season.
At our core, Wilson Rides provides transportation, but we know that supporting older adults goes far beyond getting them from one place to another. Our Holiday Happiness Delivered Program is an additional service we proudly offer — not only to our clients, but also to older adults living in Wilson County’s assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation centers — to ensure no one is forgotten during the holidays. It serves as our community’s version of an “Angel Tree for older adults,†reminding every recipient that they are valued, remembered, and deeply cared for.
Thanks to generous community support, Wilson Rides has received $3,000 in matching donations, allowing every gift made on Giving Tuesday to be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $3,000, doubling each donor’s impact.
In addition to online giving, several community partners are supporting Wilson Rides through special Giving Tuesday promotions:
