Due to the drastic drop in temperatures expected Sunday, Wilson County EMA, in partnership with Volunteer Network, will be opening a warming shelter to assist those in need.
Location: Wilson County Fairgrounds in the Hale Moss building. There will be WEMA Shelter signs to better guide those to our shelter.
Dates & Times
Sunday, Nov. 9 — Opens at 7:00 p.m., closes Monday at 10:00 a.m.
Monday, Nov. 10 — Reopens at 6:00 p.m., closes Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
Transportation will be available by calling 615-489-9129.
Pets are welcome; crates will be provided. We do ask that owners keep their pets on a leash at all times.
Food will be provided. Dinner for Sunday and some snacks are already covered, but we are seeking donations for breakfast both mornings and dinner on Monday evening.
