Lebanon Police have arrested a man wanted on a nationwide extradition warrant on charges of drug possession while in possession of a weapon.
An officer initially observed a Lincoln Navigator that was reportedly traveling Nov. 22 along the middle of Bluebird Road. The vehicle was stopped for failure to maintain a lane, and it was then the officer found the driver was driving on a suspended license.
After an investigation, authorities learned that the driver, David Caldwell, 40, was wanted out of Mississippi for possession of methamphetamine while in possession of a weapon. Caldwell was arrested without incident, given multiple traffic citations and charged with driving on a suspended license.
On Monday, Nov. 24, license plate readers alerted LPD to a white Nissan Pathfinder connected to a suspect with multiple warrants. Officers located and stopped the Nissan on State Route 109 near Interstate 40.
The driver, Ashley Sellers, 34, of Silver Point, was wanted in Putnam County for felony child neglect and a probation violation related to the sale of Schedule II drugs. Additionally, Sellers was wanted out of Smith County for probation violation related to money laundering charges. She was arrested without incident.
