John Rose

Gubernatorial candidate John Rose shows off the qualifying petition he picked up Monday at the Tennessee Secretary of State's office.

U.S. Congressman John Rose (TN-6, R) notched a milestone in his bid to become the next Governor of Tennessee. He visited the Secretary of State’s Division of Elections to pick up an official nominating petition form, which will be signed by voters from across Tennessee over the coming weeks.

Campaign officials said once completed and approved, the document will cement his candidacy and ensure his name is included on the Aug. 6 Republican gubernatorial primary ballot across all of Tennessee’s 95 counties.
