Kenneth Harris Fountain Jr., 73, of Watertown, Tennessee, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Born Aug. 25, 1951 in West Palm Beach, Florida, Ken was the son of the late Kenneth H. Fountain Sr. and Norma Jean Bunch Harlan, and was preceded in death by his sister, Leilani Fountain.
Ken was a 1970 graduate of Watertown High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Middle TN State University. He was a teacher for the Wilson County Vocational School.
Ken was a loyal Purple Tiger and longtime historian of Wilson County sports. He was announcer and statistician for Watertown football and basketball games for many years and loved watching his grandchildren play volleyball and soccer.
Ken was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and was proud of his Civil War heritage, he was a lover of all history about wars and enjoyed genealogy and researching all family history. Ken loved decorating for the holidays and was well known for creating huge Halloween displays for the children enjoy every year.
Ken is survived his wife, Annette Hearn Fountain; sons, Brian Fountain and his wife, Jennifer and Aaron Fountain; grandchildren, Natalie and Brice Fountain; sister, Karen (Stan) Marold, of Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Edward and Bessie Hearn and Wayne and Donna Hearn; and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2025, at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Burns officiating. Visitation will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 4 and again Monday from 2 p.m. until the time of service
