Mt. Juliet Police arrested several individuals across multiple incidents between Sunday and Monday, May 11-12.
Sunday afternoon, license plate readers detected a plate associated with a person wanted out of Smyrna, and MJPD intercepted the car on Belinda Parkway near Legacy Park Road.
The driver, a 32-year-old Nashville woman, was arrested on warrants issued in Octobert 2022 for failure to appear. Her identity was not immediately released.
Officers conducted a traffic stop Sunday afternoon on Interstate 40 for an expired registration. During the stop, a Glock handgun, reported stolen in a 2020 vehicle burglary in New Orleans, was discovered.
Quantaveon Hall, 19, of Nashville, was arrested and booked into the Wilson County Jail and charged with simple drug possession, possession of the stolen firearm and other charges.
Police say a traffic stop during the overnight hours of Monday morning for a headlight violation led to the discovery of drugs and weapons.
An MJPD officer pulled over the orange Dodge Dart on I-40 after it left the Mapco. Two individuals from Memphis were inside the vehicle, one 20 years old and the other 17 years old.
Officers say they discovered a rifle, a handgun, 75 rounds of ammunition, methamphetamine, a vehicle key reprogramming device, more than 500 Adderall pills and marijuana believed to be for resale. THC wax, vape pens and a vacuum sealer often used for packaging drugs were also found.
Diego Diaz, 20, was arrested on charges including drug resale, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and driving on a suspended license. He’s being held on a $175,000 bond.
According to police, the 17-year-old gave false names multiple time before his identity was confirmed. He was transported to a juvenile detention facility on similar drug and weapon charges, in addition to criminal impersonation and possession of a prohibited weapon charges.
MJPD believes Diaz and the juvenile may be involved in crimes across the state and have reached out to other departments.
