Officers graduate D.A.R.E. class

Trousdale County Sheriff’s Deputies, Bobby Enoch and Matthew Duke graduated the D.A.R.E Instructor Class on Friday, Oct. 17. Founded in 1983, D.A.R.E. is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teach children from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives. Enoch is the assigned Resource Officer at the Jim Satterfield Middle School and Duke is assigned at the Trousdale County Elementary School. Deputy Duke was also awarded “The Spirit of D.A.R.E. Award†and the “Philip Hayes Memorial Leadership Award†for superior performance and leadership in D.A.R.E. Officer training.
